Welcome to Congregation Tifereth Israel in Greenport

Congregation Tifereth Israel Anshei Greenport is an egalitarian, inclusive, Conservative synagogue committed to strengthening Jewish values, learning and spiritual well-being as well as building a close, warm and supportive community for all who wish to join.

Jewish history in Greenport dates to the late 1800s, when a few vendors left New York City to seek new markets for their wares and better lives for their families. This year we celebrate the 120th anniversary of High Holy Days services in Greenport, where members and visitors join together in prayer in our beautiful, historic sanctuary.

We are a 501 (c) (3) non-profit synagogue.
