Dede Whitsit Shares ‘Fun Facts’ About Her Family’s 400 Years Here

Shul member Diana (aka Dede) Whitsit has a remarkable family history. She can trace her roots in the Terry family back 16 generations here on the North Fork and, if that weren’t enough to amaze, she is the 11th generation family member to live in the same Orient house. Join Dede Whitsit as she reveals historical notes about one of the founding families of Southold, and shares some “fun facts,” she says, about her family’s more than 400 years here.
