Dear Members and Friends of Congregation Tifereth Israel,
Once again, because of the persistent risk of Covid, the Auction Committee is planning a Virtual Silent Auction again this year.  Last year’s auction was a huge success thanks to all of you. We are hoping for your enthusiastic and generous participation this year as well. Bidding will begin on Sunday, May 16, with an opening Zoom party.
We are asking you to be creative and to start thinking about what each of you can donate to the auction this year. As some of us are still spending a lot of time at home, items can include Zoom or in-person lessons with your particular skill, such as private exercise classes, guitar or flute lessons, Bridge or golf lessons, arts or crafts lessons, etc. Gift certificates for a sail on your boat, dinner at your house or at your favorite restaurant, etc. would be highly sought-after auction items. Other ideas include beautiful items from your home that you no longer will use, works of art, wine, hotel points, airline miles, etc.  Let’s be creative, let’s have fun, and let’s help Congregation Tifereth Israel meet its financial obligations.
Here’s what to do:
  1.  Think about what you can donate to ensure the success of this auction.
  2.  Take a photo of the item and write a brief description of the item you are donating. If you are donating a service
or gift certificate, please write a brief description.
  3. Email the photos and/or descriptions along with the estimated value of each to the auction chairs:
Madelyn Rothman (Madelyn765@aol.com) or Tom Byrne (drtombyrne@me.com).
Please start thinking about what you can offer and send us the information as soon as you decide. If you have any questions, please email or text/call Madelyn at 631-559-2816.
Thank you for participating,

Madelyn, Tom, and Francis
