Yellow Candle Project 2023

Can you help us package-up this year’s yellow remembrance candles?

Shul members and interested members of the community will receive a package containing a yellow candle and also a card with the name, age, date and place of death of someone who perished in the Holocaust.
We will meet at the shul on Sunday, March 26, at 11 a.m.

Refreshments will be provided.
We work together, tell good stories, and get the job done.

Call me, Tom Byrne, at 516-313-2301 and let me know that you will be there.

Much appreciated.

The Yellow Candle Project is a communal memorial to Jewish Holocaust victims
on Yom HaShoah.
For many participants, the glow of the candles broadens
understanding of the Holocaust in the safe space of our own homes.

We will light our candles together on Monday, April 17, at 7:30 p.m.
Many participants share images of their lit candles on social media,
creating a collective memorial.
