Maritime Festival

The Maritime Festival begins Saturday Sept 24th. Rabbi Gadi Capela will be doing the Blessing of the Fleets at 10:30am. Sharing the honors will be Father Richard Hoerning. Prayer Vigil for Orlando Massacre Held

Reverend Ann Van Cleef, of the Orient Congregational Church, organized and presided at a community prayer vigil following the massacre at The Pulse nightclub in Orlando, Florida.  Rabbi Gadi Capela of Congregation Tifereth Israel, spoke at the service and chanted the 23 Psalm in Hebrew. Over 50 members of the local community joined together to show solidarity with the loss suffered by the LGBT community through a service of prayer and remembrance.
