Maureen Mooney of St. Agnes Church met recently with Rabbi Gadi to request his help in finding volunteers for John’s Place, a winter homeless shelter at the church. John’s Place provides hot showers, nourishing meals, medical assistance, and warm winter clothing. The shelter operates Tuesday evenings, from November through March or April, depending on the weather. According to the website, “people of all faiths, backgrounds, organizations and various communities come forward to offer their time and talent.”
