The next meeting of the Book Circle will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 18, at noon, on Zoom. The selection for the month is Goodbye, Columbus by Philip Roth.

The title story of the collection is an irreverent look at the life of middle-class Jewish Americans, satirizing complacency, materialism and class. The stories were not well received by the Jewish community, but Roth won the 1960 National Book Award for fiction.

The Book Circle meets each month to explore books on Jewish themes and Jewish writers. For more information, call the shul at 631-477-0232 and leave a message for Susan Rosenstreich, coordinator of the group.
