Borys Romanchenko, 96, a Holocaust survivor, was killed March 18 by a Russian bomb that hit his house in Kharkiv, Ukraine.

Mr. Romanchenko, who survived the Buchenwald, Peenemünde, Mittelbau-Dora, and Bergen-Belsen camps, later served as vice president of the Buchenwald-Dora International Committee to preserve the memory of Nazi crimes. “He survived Hitler, murdered by Putin,” the Buchenwald Memorial said.
