Pets. They drool, shed and, from time to time, they toss up a hairball or oopsie on the carpeting. They track in mud, snow, leaves and sand. They dig deep holes by our favorite bushes and roll around in the dirt. Some skitter around in their cages at night, keeping us awake; others slither around, sticking out forked tongues at us.

Ah, but we love them.

And on Thursday, October 1 at noon, Rabbi Wolkoff will bless them.

This year, weather permitting, the Blessing of the Animals will be hybrid — both in person and on Zoom.

Bring your pets along in person, or bring them to the screen on Zoom, where we can admire them, ooh and aah over them, and perhaps have a little less trouble keeping them from running amok.

So join us at noon this Thursday and bring your pals — the ones who bark and meow, the scary ones who slither, and the pesky ones who party at night.

We love them. Bless them.
