Ann Hurwitz is a two-term member of the synagogue’s Board of Directors. A career educator, she chairs the shul’s Education Committee and is the trustee of the Marshall S. Hurwitz Fund For Programs and Special Projects. In those capacities, Ann sponsored two courses for our members that were developed by the Jewish Theological Seminary. She also developed the synagogue’s curriculum for the Joyfully Jewish summer program for children ages 4 through 8.

Linda Kessler is an important voice on the BID (Business Improvement District) Committee, which oversees Greenport’s commercial area. For many years, she has been a supporter of the annual Maritime Festival, the LGBTQ community and the Pride Parade.
