The shul’s Security Committee, headed by Stephen Meshover and including Sara Bloom, Rabbi Capela, Elaine Goldman, Gordon Henry, and shul president Judith K. Weiner, is reaching out to law enforcement and other civic agencies for guidance in exploring various approaches to secure the shul and the parsonage. The committee is also gathering the required documents to apply for federal grant money to fund new security initiatives.

As part of the new security procedures, members planning to attend Shabbat services in the sanctuary must knock at the ramp door and identify themselves before the door will be unlocked. Covid vaccination and booster are required; masks are optional but recommended.
