The Nominating Committee has proposed a slate of officers to serve from July 1, 2022 to June 30, 2023: 

President: Judith K. Weiner 

Vice president: Sara Bloom

Treasurer: Alan Garmise

Financial Secretary: Nancy Torchio

Recording Secretary: Joanna Paulsen

Corresponding Secretary: Elaine Goldman

Members at Large: Elizabeth Adams, Suri Lan-Brown, Madelyn Rothman

Also sitting on the Board of Directors are Adrianne Greenberg, Sisterhood President; and Thomas Byrne, Men’s Club President. Members of the Nominating Committee are Susan Rosenstreich, chair; Miriam Gabriel, and Rochelle Garmise.

The annual meeting of Congregation Tifereth Israel will be held on Sunday, June 12, at 10 a.m., on Zoom, at which time the last agenda item will be the election of officers. Congregation members are urged to attend the meeting to support the Board of Directors whose time and expertise contribute to the smooth running of our synagogue.

About additional nominations

According to the bylaws, synagogue members are permitted to submit additional nominations to the slate before the end of May. This year, additional nominations can be submitted to Susan Rosenstreich, chair of the Nominating Committee, at suzil@optonline.net by Tuesday, May 31, at midnight.

If the slate is challenged by additional nominations, voting for that particular position will be held separately from the slate presented by the Nominating Committee.
