School Supply Drive: July 17 – August 18

Back-to-school for the young set means pencils, glue sticks, paperclips, notebooks, dividers, rulers, scissors, index cards, markers, pens, and the like, plus backpacks to hold all that stuff and — oh yes — schoolbooks and homework assignments from the teachers. Farmer Madelyn Shows Off Successful Crop Of Peppers For CAST

Madelyn Rothman, who monitors the shul’s two planting beds at Common Ground at Treiber Farm, told The Shofar that the Tikkun Olam group is trying some new efficiency methods this year. The goal is to produce a greater harvest because of increased demand for the vegetables and herbs, she said.
