So here’s the deal: Any individual or family joining between now and the end of the year will pay the full rate — $1,000 for families, $650 for individuals — for the remainder of this year, but will be paid-up members through all [...]

“Three Sabbaths and a Messiah Campaign”

In the midst of World War II, in his first speech as Prime Minister on May 13, 1940, Winston Churchill spoke about blood, toil, tears and sweat. His words, likely, were reminiscent of Teddy Roosevelt’s words in 1897, when he said, “In the past, the nation has triumphed because of the blood and sweat and tears, the labor of anguish, through which, in the days that have gone, our forefathers moved on to triumph.” This [...]

“A Thoughtful Gift, Rediscovered At Rosh Hashanah”

When did you last move from one domicile to another, downsizing in the process? It Was A Fun Morning With Books And Bagels, And Bubbles And Babies

Seth Golob brought the fun of PJ Library to our own Andrew Levin Park on Sunday morning, August 11, and kids, parents, grandkids and grandparents gobbled it up, along with bagels and cream cheese, hot and cold drinks, and an assortment of baked goods. Storytime, arts and crafts, and running happily in the park rounded out an event specially planned for children that bodes well for more gatherings of youngsters at our shul. For kids, [...]
