Join Ellen Jaffe For Ukulele Basics And A Fun Music Program

Shul member Ellen Jaffe returns to the Lunch and Learn program with her collection of ukuleles, including 4- and 6-stringed instruments plus her banjolele — a banjo-ukulele hybrid that’s played like a uke. Learn some basic chords to accompany familiar melodies. Then, advance to picking, bar chords, and strumming possibilities. Okay, folks, it’s time for some pickin’ and singin’ while we’re lunchin’ and learnin’ about ukes and how Ellen gets all that music from these seemingly simple and surprisingly tuneful instruments.
