Advance Proof of Covid Vaccination and Masks Required

On Friday, August 6, the shul held its first in-person service since the synagogue suspended worship in the sanctuary in March 2020, more than a year ago. Some attended the Shabbat services in person, others streamed simultaneously via Zoom.

The return to the sanctuary was joyous for all and teary for some, who were moved by the spirituality of the room, the resonance of the rabbi’s singing voice, and worshipping with fellow congregants rather than singularly in front of a computer screen.

Simultaneous Shabbat services and High Holiday services will continue to be offered, but keep in mind that in-person services and events on the property require proof of vaccination in advance, and masks. Here is how to provide proof of vaccination.

  • Email a photocopy of your vaccination card or Excelsior Pass to our office assistant, Andrea Blaga, at ctigreenport@gmail.com/.
  • Andrea will keep a master list of congregants eligible to attend all Shabbat services and events within our synagogue building and on synagogue property.
  • You need to provide proof of vaccination only once.
  • The shul will contact those without email.
